This module aimed to develop my understanding of the fundamental languages of graphic design, along with the diverse methods, practices, and contexts related to the field. Through a hands-on approach, I had the opportunity to explore various techniques for establishing a visual language.
Graphic Design is a sophisticated fusion of text and image, data and diagrams, photography and illustration. To be successful, it requires the clarity of thought and creative sensitivity of a designer who can orchestrate these diverse elements into a composition that is distinctive, purposeful, playful, surprising, subversive—or above all, memorable.

This assignment invited us to bring together the knowledge, technical abilities, and critical thinking I had developed throughout the course. We were tasked with creating a design project that not only meets the expectations of the brief but also clearly demonstrates our achievement of the learning outcomes outlined in this module guide.
My initial studies in 2D design focused on composition, color, form and space, pattern, and imagery, all aimed at enhancing my graphical literacy and deepening my knowledge of visual communication principles. Throughout the module, I examined how visual language is constructed to create meaning, integrating both analogue and digital processes relevant to the discipline.

I demonstrated an understanding of principles and theories related to visual language, typography, and imagery through a series of activities and projects. I effectively communicated creative concepts by conducting research and investigation, showcasing the relationship between text and image.
I explored and developed a range of ideas in response to set challenges, embracing experimentation. Additionally, I applied an imaginative approach to media processes and techniques within my visual communication project work.
